I started dancing when I was 2 years old. I was the youngest dancer the academy had ever accepted because I was potty trained and very close to my three year old birthday at registration. I think that dancing really save me later on in life when my Mother had developed her own issues and wasn't able to be there for me like most girls really need. I am SO tired right now, but I have some exciting updates to announce. First off Monkey doesn't qualify for early intervention. She has to be severely delayed in one area or significantly delayed in two areas. She is not even considered significantly delayed in the multiple tests we took on Monday. So I went to see a pain management specialist today. I am so tired of dealing with my back and doctors and insurance I could just cry. Okay well I've cried not today but last week or something. Monkey still isn't talking. She is however sleeping like a champ. She is sleeping so much it doesn't surprise me that we are taking her to speech therapy to be evaluated. On Tuesday November 10th Marysville in North East Portland, Oregon burned down. The whole school was evacuated in 2 minutes flat. There were no injuries or deaths. There were only hero's. Teachers who stayed level headed and got 460 children out of the building even though it was lunch time for some of the students. So my Dr. had already said that I was probably low on Vitamin D, when I went in. She also ask for blood work to be done up to see if something was amiss. So we got a new Dr. the last one I had asked ME which pill I wanted and when I asked her what she recommended she said let me list them off and see what is familiar sounding to you. She really never engaged in the conversation with me and basically didn't seem to like me. I was asked to post up the beauty tips widget and try out some beauty products and I agreed. For doing that I was also entered into a contest (and won WOOHOO). I was excited, I didn't know exactly what I would get in the box and that made it even more exciting...and daunting. So, I have had bruises appearing one everyday for 5 days and am going to the Dr. on Monday. I have no clue what they are going to say, google unexplained bruises and you get everything from anemia to kidney failure. The good news is that while I have some other symptoms , I DON"T have a fever so I am probably not dying... well not today or this weekend. Having a toddler means you have to say the words, don't, no, stop, and freeze about a million times a day. I thought I would share with you something I found that works very well for my little monkey. It is very situation specific, but if you can't make yourself utter another, "Stop" here is another option. "What is the plan here?". Quite a few weeks ago I was reading Metropolitan Mama's view on spanking children. While I was quietly reading the article, my husband comes up behind me and starts stating his views. I'll be perfectly honest, I mostly got the idea she was firmly against spanking, but I didn't get to read the article. Mr. OCD says that he doesn't like the idea of spanking a child, but that it should not be takenPardon Me !
Okay here is what happened. First I went to the Zoo on Zoo member apperciation day with the awesome girl upstairs. We decided to forgo the strollers and bring a wagon. So Monkey decides she hates wagons. Then the awesome girl upstairs son lets say Shy Guy, decides he hates sharing his wagon.
